Senior lawyer with a demonstrated long and broad experience in the national and international ship finance industry, involving the financing of commercially operated seagoing vessels and inland vessels, with registration under Dutch flag and such foreign flags as are commonly accepted by Western European banks, as well as the financing of vessels under construction at shipyards in the Netherlands and abroad.

Is specialised in (re)structuring loans and loan facilities and the drafting and examining of a wide variety of financial agreements and security documents, including ship mortgages and supplemental documentation.

In addition experience covers risk management, special credits, recovery and insolvency and the enforcement of security, more in particular arresting vessels and enforcing ship mortgages in a diversity of jurisdictions worldwide, arranging private sales and forced sales by public auction, including the settlement thereof and the taking of follow-up actions such as deletion of existing registration, distribution of sale proceeds, settling disputes determining priorities of claims and the sale, delivery and registration of purchased vessels.
